Yes, it’s true. After Amazon dumped my books (and a lot of others, no doubt) last July, I had to:

  • Ask my publisher to return my books rights (which she graciously did);
  • Create new covers (without using AI for the main four books);
  • Re-edit and re-format for Draft2Digital publication, both in paperback and eBook formats;
  • And then wait for the publication process for four novel-sized books and two “short-read” eBooks to be completed.

Because Draft2Digital gets our books to lots of distributors (e.g. Barnes & Noble, Apple, Rakuten Kobo, etc.) but doesn’t guarantee Amazon, I was completely surprised to stumble across the new edition of The Queerest Quest while canceling an Amazon video subscription. I checked, and all my books were up again–except for the two short-read eBooks. However, the reviews I’d garnered were gone, never to return.
