For Writers, Readers, Publishers and Advocates for Queer & Progressive Fantasy
Almost as soon as I discovered my beloved, nine-years-worth-of-work, fantasy series was no longer available on Amazon, I decided to create a podcast to support other writers like me, along with readers, publishers, and advocates for queer fantasy in particular.
There is nothing quite like building a world that you love, even if it is imperiled. So many of us have written books that are set in worlds that we wished we lived in, that we wished existed. I think for any writer who exists in marginalized conditions, this becomes even more important!
Call To Action: Listen and Subscribe!
And so Fantasy Free Me was born and I am determined to keep my own work alive through it, as well as signal boost other writers, books, publishers, and readers, so that in this time of increasing repression and censorship in the US, we can become more strongly connected, less easily destroyed.
I know. It’s just one little podcast and who knows if there will ever be enough listeners to make it matter? However, I believe in making noise and trying to make a difference even if it does seem futile. These are dire times, and a time for dire deeds…

Podcast Format
You can listen to the first, welcoming podcast episode here.
I am in the process of lining up guests: writers and publishers, primarily. I intend to solicit listener/reader suggestions for books, along with mini-reviews that they might send in. I will also include “First Five Pages” glimpses into books, both new and old, as well as commentary about news articles having to do with queer publishing, book censorship, etc.
And at the end of every episode, I will read a short segment from one of my own books. If you, or someone you know, might like to be a guest on the show, please fill out the guest application below and send it to ARMarshWriter@proton.me or dr.amymarshsexologist@gmail.com with “Fantasy Free Me Guest” in the subject line.
I look forward to hearing from you!!!
